The burn site appears pale, charred, or leathery. Everybody must know how to give a fist aid burn treatment. Burn can be very dangerous for children. Fires may be started accidentally by victims of drug or alcohol overdose. This is the layer of tissue that is most important in temperature regulation. Inhalation injury should be assumed in anyone whose history suggests being confined in a fire environment. Do remember that you should never use an ice cube over the burned skin in order to cool the burn, because this will just make it worst. The skin may look pale, waxy, and sometimes charred.
